150 Years of Catholic Education

To Listen to the Homily click here: PND 150th - 22nd Sunday Ordinary Time

The closing Mass for the 150th Anniversary of Catholic Secondary Education in the Diocese of Peoria was followed by a reception at the Spalding Pastoral Center in Peoria.  The Museums of the Catholic Diocese of Peoria has a special display on Catholic Education which will remain through December 15th.  Pictured is an old-fashioned student desk Fulton Sheen's mother Delia purchased for him.  On the desk is the centennial 1913 graduation class plaque, Sheen is on top as valedictorian.

Pectoral cross pictured here which belonged to Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen was worn in honor of this great occasion at the Mass.
